The Task Force was created by the National Commission on Libraries and Information Science to explore the status of library and information services, resources, and programs concentrating on blacks, Native Americans, Asians, and Hispanics, and to produce a final report with specific recommendations. The Task Force was created in 1980 and dissolved in 1982. Correspondence, memoranda, minutes, research materials, press releases, drafts, and final reports of the Task Force.
